Plan
Active Data Calendar can serve as
a bridge between your current
Facilities Planning software and
your online event marketing needs.
Calendar can also be used to help
plan events, find available
locations for events and notify you
of potential conflicts if you do not
currently have a facilities package.
- Calendar includes a Public
Calendar with unlimited
Categories, Locations and
Events! An optional Private
Calendar module not only helps
with internal event promotion
but also event planning by
setting up Category Owners who
must approve events on the
private Calendar before they can
be displayed publicly.
- Search and sort your
organization's calendar for
other events that are active or
pending for
Locations/Buildings/Rooms on
your required date/time.
- See other events that are
taking place on the same day as
your event to ensure you plan
events when you can maximize
attendance.
- Enable Conflict Notification
Alerts to display whenever
events are being added/scheduled
for the same location at the
same date/time.
- Notify other internal user
and/or external parties about
your event needs (Security,
Maintenance, Food
Services/Catering, etc.) before
an event is published live to
the calendar. You can also allow
other departments and
individuals to preview event
details prior to an event being
published and provide them with
access to an internal comments
log that they can append with
their own
thoughts/considerations
regarding the event.
Publish
Publishing events using Calendar
is easy and flexible and since it is
entirely web-enabled, Active Data
Calendar allows users to post events
from any computer accessible to the
Internet - without installing any
proprietary software. Add standard
event information such as
descriptions and contact information
and use more powerful features such
as attachments and images to truly
maximize your event impact!
- Add an event image and up to
three attachments such as
agendas for meetings, audio and
video clips for speakers or
concerts, menus for breakfast
meetings or important dinners,
venue seating charts and so much
more!
- Set up one-time events or
series events with multiple
occurrences. Easily customize
occurrences within a series to
have unique details, images,
starting and ending times and
other important details.
- Publishing rules can also be
established with the Calendars
configurable workflow structure.
Setup workflow by internal
departments and/or
categorization of events. Allow
some users to post live to the
calendar, while others must go
through an approval process.
- Customize unique fields for
event entry that you setup for
your particular installation
that are focused on your
organization's needs.
Promote
The highly configurable calendar
view screens help you to easily
blend the Calendar with your desired
site look and feel! In addition to
the main calendar interfaces
available, you can also generate
Event Syndication Teaser Code, RSS
feeds and Calendar Quick Links...all
to maximize exposure and promotion
of your events and drive visitors
into your Calendar for more details!
- The Calendar configuration
area includes over ten (10)
different setup options
including: customizing
headers/footers, fonts and
styles, welcome and other text
elements, display and search
options and much more.
- Event Syndication Code can
be generated and placed on any
web page. This code will
dynamically pull event teaser
links to promote upcoming events
and drive visitors into your
Calendar. Create different event
teaser code by category or other
criteria and place throughout
your site to personalize the
event information for each
audience.
- In addition, Calendar Quick
Links can be easily generated
and placed throughout your site
to allow visitors to navigate
directly to a subset of your
master Calendar (Category, Date
Time or Location) and
personalize their experience
even more!
- Generate RSS feeds by
Category or other criteria that
you select. Easily add your
event RSS feeds to your site by
selecting from one of six RSS
buttons.
Engage
Once you drive visitors into your
Calendar it is time to ENGAGE them
with your events to maximize
registrations, ticket sales and
overall attendance. Calendar
includes a variety of features to
help ENGAGE your visitors and keep
them informed of event changes.
- Visitors to your Calendar
can choose "Notify Me" to enter
their email address to be added
to an event email notice list.
When event changes occur, you
can decide if you want to send a
notice automatically to all
registered email subscribers to
inform them of the event
changes.
- Send email notices even when
event details are not changed!
An administrative feature called
"Send E-mail Notice", allows
selected Calendar administrators
to "push" customizable email
notices out to internal calendar
users, other organization
members or registered event
subscribers. Important email
notices may include when tickets
go on sale, coupons or discount
information on events, event
reminders and more.
- Visitors to your Calendar
can also choose to "Add to My
Personal Calendar". This feature
allows them to easily download
any event to their personal
calendar software.
- "E-mail a Friend" is also a
great option that allows your
visitors to send out a
customizable message, along with
event details to other possible
attendees!
